The jewelry industry spent decades telling us round was better. Smoother. More refined.
A pearl doesn't naturally grow round. Left alone, it grows however it grows — curved, asymmetric, shaped by time, water, and its own logic.
We didn't create these shapes. We just knew better than to change them.
Who We Are
Novan is a female-led brand — built between late nights, honest conversations, and the slow, unglamorous work of learning to stop shrinking.
We're rooted in New York.
We design from lived experience.
From the quiet shift that happens when you stop dressing for the room and start dressing for yourself.
From the realization that the things we were told to smooth down, round out, make easier for everyone else to accept — were usually the most interesting parts.
That shift informs everything we make:
